Limited Warranty and Return Policy

Keith McMillen Instruments (KMI) warrants our products, when purchased new* from an authorized dealer in the United States, to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. During that time, KMI will at our discretion repair or replace products found to be defective, at no cost to the customer for labor or parts, providing that the product failure is found to be from a defect in materials or workmanship.

KMI requires that all products for warranty service be returned to us for evaluation. Quality is important to us and we use these opportunities to track manufacturing defects and ensure the quality of our instruments.

Our limited warranty is offered solely to hardware products purchased from an Authorized KMI Reseller (defined as a reseller which has purchased the product directly from KMI or one of our authorized distributors). Refer to our dealer locator to verify if a dealer is authorized. Contact us to inquire about warranty coverage for products purchased outside of the US.

To receive warranty service, contact us through our support website. To verify your warranty you must provide KMI with a copy of your receipt from an authorized dealer in your communication with our Technical Support Team. Once your return has been authorized we will supply you with an RMA number and return address. Customer is responsible for all shipping and freight charges to transport product to KMI.

Once returned we will evaluate the product and, if deemed to have a manufacturing defect, we will at our discretion repair or replace it it free of charge. However, if the product passes our evaluations we will communicate with you further so we may attempt to uncover the issue you have experienced.

In the event your product is in fact not defective, you will be subject to pay for its return shipping.

USB Cables are not covered by our warranty. Products returned due to a bad USB cable will be subject to return shipping charges.

*Scratch N’ Dent / used units are not covered by warranty
